A beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, Valentine “Vava” Tondereau left this world after a long and courageous battle with dementia, at 90 years old, on April 14th, 2023. Born in Jacmel, Haiti on May 29, 1932 to Valiere Tondereau and Angelique Pierre-Louis.
Valentine was a lover of church, WWF wrestling and children. She was funny, sweet and a great cook. Her smile could light up a room even in the darkest days. Vava was the perfect embodiment of love and selflessness. She loved her family and friends fiercely and unconditionally and we should honor her memory by loving each other the same.
Valentine was preceded in death by her father Valiere Tondereau and mother Angelique Pierre-Louis. She leaves behind her children, Judith G. Thomas, Marie F. Pierre and Wesner Guerrier; son-inlaw Jean Othniel Thomas; sister: Marie Therese Tondereau; grandchildren: Kathleen Jean-Francois, Jennifer Pierre, Ricardo Jean-Baptiste, Fred and Philippe Guerrier, great grandchildren Anaia Jean-Francois and Kaiya Pierre; nephews: Lionel, Maxime, Dawly, Hancy Dieudonne and cousins and friends.
