Sean Christopher Brady

Sean Christopher Brady, the beloved son of Deborah Rodway and David Brady, was born on Wednesday the 29th of August 2001 in Brooklyn NY. Sean was raised by his mother, father and step-brother Kevin Rodway, in the family home on Ocean Ave across from Prospect Park where he spent many days with friends and cousins in the park's playgrounds. With the passing of Sean's aunt, Rohanna Rodway, his cousins, Christopher Fransis and Fritzroy Rodway joined the family on Ocean Ave and for many years they enjoyed playing together in Prospect Park. Sean graduated from the neighborhood elementary school and the family moved to their new home in Arverne in 2006. Sean was enrolled in the nearby Robert Vernan middle school in Arverne where he eventually graduated in 2015.
Sean attended August Martin High School for three years and then transferred to the Queen High School for Information Research & Technology in Wave Crest for his last year of High School. After suffering the loss of his mother in February of 2019 and the passing of his uncle, Albert Dewdney, shortly thereafter, Sean graduated from High School four months later in June of 2019. Since graduation, Sean had been planning to enroll in an online New York University program while earning money to buy a car which he purchased in March 2019.
When Sean dropped off a few friends with his new car in the early morning of 14 May 2020 he suffered a fatal gunshot wound. He was taken to Jamaica Hospital where his heart failed despite the best efforts of attending Doctors and staff. In mourning the tragic loss of Sean, family, relatives, friends, and neighbors from far and wide gathered at his home in tribute to his life with an evening candlelight vigil on Tuesday the 19th of May 2020. In the Monday 18th of May edition of the New York Daily News the passing of Sean was reported and published along with a beautiful picture of him by the beach in Rockaway. The life of Sean Cristopher Brady and his generous spirit and smile will always be remembered forever by all who had the good fortune to know and love him. The tragic loss of Sean has been a crushing blow for all surviving members of his immediate and extended family including: his father, David Brady, his brothers, Kevin Rodway, Christopher Francis, Fritzroy Rodway, Julian Sage, Todd Brady, his only sister, Jill Entel, his two aunts Roxanne Cross and Kaitlyn Entel, grand-aunt Cleopatra, his uncle Garth Rodway, his cousins Jeanette, Zhaleya, Hayes, Hannah, and August, as well as Aiden, and Madison along with Edward Colbert and Demetrius.
