Samuel Limprevil Pierre

Samuel Pierre was born in Au Cap, Haiti on December 5th, 1949, to Limprevil Pierre and Julia Cesar. As one of eight siblings, he was constantly determined to achieve much in life. In 1980, he set out to the United States for the first time to begin a new chapter. He worked tirelessly, preparing the way for his family of nine to later join him in New York in September of 1991.

Throughout his years, Samuel Pierre was known as a passionate and devoted follower of Christ. In 1991, this same passion led him and his family to become active members of the L’Eglise Baptiste de la Communion Fraternelle congregation. He was blessed to serve as one of the deacons in the church for over 30 years. He devoted his life and energy to serving others in various capacities. Whether it was providing transportation services for church members, visiting the sick, or any other request. He was happy to do it all for the glory of the Lord.

Everyone who knew Samuel knew just how much he loved to sing and play all kinds of instruments. He would light up the room just by practicing on his piano while singing or humming his favorite tune. In addition to his love for music, Samuel loved to dress up. His collection of suits and other elaborate apparel over the years provided a glimpse of his personality and fashion style.

Most people would describe Samuel as resilient, hardworking, and committed. His work ethic was inspiring and admired by those around him, especially his children. His unwavering approach to provide and care for his family was second to none. The many sacrifices that he’s made will never be forgotten.

On Thursday, June 18th, 2026, Samuel was called home to be with his Lord and Savior where he now rests after his lengthy and courageous battle with cancer.

His legacy lives on through his beloved family. His wife of 47 years, Isna Pierre and his eight children Dionny Pierre, Elcie Pierre, Peterson Pierre, Valery Pierre, Jean-Marcly Pierre, Patrick Pierre, Sandrine Denis and Islande Pierre, His children-in law, Marlen Carina Pion De Pierre, Claudna Pierre, Joanne Pierre and Othniel Denis followed by the absolute joys of his life, his twenty-five grandchildren, Kendrick, Kaitlyn, Kristen, Kristina, Amy-Michelle, Dorianne, Grace, Kayla, Arianna, Katalena, Jovani, Jionni, Jeremiah, Nathanael, Zachary, Zahria, Enoch, Hannah, Olive, Silas, Oasis, Ezra, Juval, Mitch-Val and Valentina. He will be sorely missed by his family pets Reeses and Prince.

Samuel is also survived by his two brothers, Pastor Jóse Pierre and Jósten Pierre and his three sisters, Mrs. Azemar Louis Diométre née Odette Pierre, Mrs. David Chérenfant née Phébée Pierre, Mrs. Jonas Janvier née Julie Pierre. He is preceded in death by his parents, Limprevil and Julia Pierre, His sister Mrs. Rosemon Désir née Ephonise Pierre, and his brother, Ezékiel Pierre.

Samuel will always be remembered as an extraordinary Man of God, Husband, Father, Uncle, Brother and Friend. We thank God for his life and the legacy that he has left behind. We will miss him dearly, but we know that his memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him.
