Marie Hermancia Dorvalus Obituary

Would you please allow me to tell you in a few minutes who this wonderful woman was? Most people knew Marie Hermancia Dorvalus under the surname of “Brez”. She was a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Brez was born on May 28th, 1928, in Cavaillon, Haiti. She was the youngest child of Vertilia Delbrun, a skilled housewife, and Marius Dorvalus, an experienced cultivator. In later years, she met Gesner Pierre-Louis. Brez raised six children: Kernizan and family, Quenedy and family, Eddy and his family, Oselor and family, David and family, Ludia and family. Also, Brez is preceded in death by all her sisters and brothers (Leclerss, Izma, Herman, Antonio, and Elzida). I cannot forget his preferred nephew, Faguston Paul (Francois). Brez did not possess any material items, but she had a giving heart. Brez grew up following her mother’s path and learned to be a loving, hardworking, and friendly woman. She always had something to give away. When she gave, she did not expect anything in return. She was a compassionate lady by nature. Brez will be remembered for her special ability to make people laugh. Her heart was abundant with love, which was passed down to her multitude of children and grandchildren. Physically Brez is no longer with us, but spiritually she will continue to live in the memory of her loved ones. Brez's legacy will never be extinguished because her foundations are very deeply rooted.
