With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Marie Anaise Jean-Pierre, who departed this life on February 8, 2025, at the age of 69. She passed away peacefully at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on April 28, 1955, in Jacmel, Haiti, Marie Anaise grew up in Pétion-Ville. She was a devoted servant of God, embodying love, generosity, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to her community. She touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting imprint on the hearts of all who knew her.
Marie Anaise was a loving and devoted mother to her three children: Guerdine, Roseline, and Rony. She was also a proud grandmother to five grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and fulfillment.
Throughout her life, she remained an active and faithful member of several churches, including Église Baptiste Évangélique de Pétion-Ville and Bethany Baptist Church (Queens, New York). She found great joy in serving in the choir and the women’s ministry, always uplifting those around her with her faith and kindness.
We extend our deepest sympathies to her children, siblings, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and all family members and friends who are grieving this great loss.
