Marie Louima

Marie Gabelita Saint-Jean was born in Croix-des-Bouquets, Haiti to Joseph Saint- Jean and Charite Jeanty on July 1, 1944. She gained her education at the schools located at Croix-des-Bouquets. She married Jean Gerard Louima on May 15,1971 in Croix-des-Bouquets. Later in life, she held many occupations but was mostly known as a gardener and seamstress.

Marie Gabelita Saint-Jean loved to take care of her garden, be with her grandchildren and heavily participate in her church. She was a kind-hearted woman who loved to share her blessings with the people around her. A woman who will adopt anyone who is in need of love or family.

Marie Gabelita Saint-Jean unfortunately passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2022. After a hard and long fight with an illness, she has put down her arms and left for the afterlife.

Marie Gabelita Saint-Jean is preceded in death by her brothers: Hugues Leveques, Anthony Vielot, and Roger Vielot. Also, her oldest son, Jean Marie Christner Louima preceded her in death.

Marie Gabelita Saint-Jean’s present family includes Jean Gerard Louima, her husband, and her brother, Harold Saint-Jean. The following are her children: Marie Christine Charles, Marie Mathania Louima, Gelitho Louima, and Marie Belina Louima. The following are her son-in-laws: Jean Fedner Charles, Wilbert Datilus, and Jean Satune. The following are her grandchildren: James, Nephtalie, Nathanael, Christian, Katiana, Wilberson, Sarah, David, and Jaylina.

The family is appreciative of the love expressed towards them and would like to thank everyone for their constant support during this difficult time of grief.
