Loubert Rejouis, 68, passed away on August 25, 2023. He was born in Baradère, Haiti, on August 24, 1955, to the late Mark Rejouis and Rita Francois. After leaving his birthplace of Baradère, Loubert spent his formative years in Carrefour before establishing himself in Petionville. Throughout his life, he was ambitious, eager to learn, and continuously sought growth in knowledge. Among his many accomplishments was his significant contribution to topography in Haiti. Loubert played an instrumental role in the construction of many roads in Bellevue, including the one prominently named after the region itself. His professional pursuits also led him to work as an electrician, refrigerator mechanic, and a skilled driver-a profession he continued into his later years. In 1986, Loubert proudly became a father to Jonathan Rejouis. He met the love of his life, Marie Lourde, in 1990 and the two were wed in 1992. Their union was blessed with two children, Thamare and Joel Rejouis. Seeking new opportunities and a promising future for his family, Loubert moved to the United States in 2002, settling in Brooklyn, NY. His wife, Marie Lourde, and their children joined him shortly thereafter, and together, they built a life full of love and cherished memories. Despite facing numerous health challenges over the years, Loubert's spirit remained indomitable. He was a devoted man of faith, expressing his love by sharing and defending the word of God. Whether offering someone a ride home or engaging in passionate Bible study discussions, Loubert found ways to spread love and light to those around him. Loubert's passing is a transition from this life to be with his heavenly Father. He leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and unwavering commitment to his family and God.
