Julius Anthony Michel was born on September 9th, 2003, in Brooklyn, NY to Ayanah Reid and Kirk Michel. He celebrated life here on earth until October 14th 2021.
Julius graduated New Explorations into Science, Technology and Math where he was a member of the Black Student Union. After graduating high school this summer, he matriculated at Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY where he majored in Mechanical Engineering.
Julius was loved in all walks of life. He enjoyed swimming competitively for the Bedstuy Piranhas and was working as a lifeguard for the NYC Parks and Recreation. He had a passion for sports, especially basketball; he enjoyed his PlayStation during downtime, and developed skills in playing the piano, cutting hair, and photography. He was a member of the 88th Precinct Explorer Program since 2017, where he received a community service citation from the Brooklyn Borough President and was a part of the Alpha GENTS Program since 2018. In 2020, Julius graduated from the Exalt program in which he described as “life changing.”
Julius left beautiful pieces of himself with his parents and grandparents. He also left his strong character on his sister, his aunts, his uncles, and countless cousins. Lastly, Julius left a lasting impression on friends all around the world. Through all these people Julius will live FOREVER.
