Joseph Jacques Aubry was born on January 21st 1944 in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti to the late Joseph Andre Aubry and Miracia Dorsainvil. He graduated from Odeide High School and later attended Julien Craan technical school in Port-Au-Prince as his focus was accounting. Jacques, affectionately known to his close friends and family as Guaguaye, was a man of many talents; a singer in his earlier years, he played guitar, accordion and also enjoyed painting and dancing. Jacques migrated to the United States in 1986 and settled in Queens but spent most of his time in Brooklyn where he worked in the transportation business.
He was kind, caring, friendly and loving. Guaguaye loved engaging in heated conversations pertaining to politics and sports. He was admired by his family and friends.
Jacques is survived by his children Fabienne, Jonathan, and Christopher Aubry, two grand-children: Vladimir S. Bernard and Ashton Aubry. His siblings Isabelle Beliard Maximilien, Brigitte Aubry Jaeger, Francoise Aubry Kendall, Martine Aubry Anacreon, and his brother Jean Pierre Aubry, his former wife Marilhou Aubry, and step daughter Joanne Holly, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins Carmelle and Gerald, the Beliards, Cajustes, Coulanges, and his many friends.
Jacques suffered a heart attack and peacefully passed in the presence of his friends at one of his favorite restaurants on November 21st, 2021 at 2:00 am. His memory will live on in everyone that he touched throughout his life.
