Jesula Gassant Volcimus

Jesula Gassant Volcimus was born on October 5, 1930 to late Mesier
Gassant and Julienne Gerome Lubin in Anse- A-Veau, a country of Haiti. There
she also had three brothers and five sisters. By the age of 10, she moved to the
city Port-Au-Prince to pursue her education. She grew up to become a beautiful
woman and met her husband Remy Volcimus. From that union were born five
children.

Jesula worked as a dress maker and designed chinaware. Her life was based
on God and she was known for her generous love towards her family. She took
good care of her family and made time to help anyone in need without condition.
She installed good values and wisdom to others that served them well. Jesula was
kind, soft spoken, and enjoyed conversations with all.

In the early 90’s, Jesula migrated to America settling into the borough of
Queens shortly after becoming widowed to join her children and grandchildren.

Jesula was a delight to her family and others by graciously extending her loving
hand as a caregiver. She loved gardening, growing delicious healthy foods, and
cooking meals. She was a strong woman full of spirit who loved life and had a
sense of humor that gave others a warmth of comfort.

Our merciful God called Jesula home after fulfilling her earthly duties on
August 21, 2022. She left behind her daughters; Marie G Volcimus and Marie
Alice Volcimus. Her sons Ricot Volcimus and the late Fritz Volcimus. Her grand
daughters; Martine Volcimus, Nirva Lubin, and Osline Volcimus. Her grandsons;
Gregory Cambry, Jeffrey Volcimus Cambry , and Erick Volcimus. Her great grand
children; Rachelle Washington, Trichelle Volcimus, Jaden Volcimus, Shamell
Cambry , Shanyia Cambry , and Jetalia Cambry. Her nieces and nephews; Marie
Claude Marcelin, Marie Yolaine Gassant, and Moise Gassant. Cousins; Mirielle L.
Romain, Annuel Leonard, etc. Jesula will be deeply missed by her loved ones.
