Mr. Jeanmille Flavien Joseph went home to be with the LORD on October 10, 2021 in Brooklyn, New York. He was 89 years old.
Jeanmille (affectionately known as “Papit”) was born on August 15, 1932 in Les Cayes, Haiti to Jean-Gilles Joseph and Vierjela Pierre-Louis. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1968 and briefly settled in Stamford, CT then later moved to Brooklyn NY. He became the patriarch of the family, facilitating the arrival of several family members, uniting relatives near and far, serving as a role model for his children and community.
He was devoted Christian and a life-long member of The French Speaking Baptist Church [Eglise Baptiste d’Expression Française] in Brooklyn, New York.
Mr. Joseph is survived by his wife Monnaise, his children Harry, Marie Yorvolle, Samuel , Irlande (“Loulou”), John Mark, Sherley, and Daniel; his step-children James (Marco), Nerlange, Pierre, and Fabienne; 15 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; also, his siblings, Sony, Edele, Soeurette, Pastor Antoine (Ewald) J, Vyolaine, Yvenante, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
He memory will live on in everyone that he touched throughout his lifetime.
