Georgette Jacques was born in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti as the 11th child out of 13 children to Metor Jacques and Irisna Merisca on October 16th, 1941. She attended a local school in her hometown. She worked as a private hairdresser in the comfort of her own home.
Georgette Jacques loved to cook, clean, garden, and raise her children. On her spare time, she babysat her nieces and nephews. Later on, when she came to America; she became a stay at home Nanny to take care of her children that she left in Haiti.
She loved to laugh, banter, and share her wisdom. Most importantly, she loved to dance. Tabou Combo was one of her many favorite musicians, and one of her favorite songs from them is “Lakay.”
Georgette Jacques unfortunately transitioned on December 22nd, 2021.
Georgette Jacques is preceded in death with her other 11 brothers and sisters.
Georgette Jacques is survived by her 5 Children: Sonie Innocent, Evans Jacques, Darline Jacques, Gertrude Jacques , and Christa Anicet and one sister Immaculeuse Jacques-Desir.
She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Here are their names listed in the order they were born; Sophie Innocent, Tania Jacques, Evans Jacques Junior, Roberto Jacques, Jonathan Keller Lauriston, Sebastien Kevin's Petiote, Chrystal Bianca Jacques, Bradley Jacques, Isaiah Jean, Ava-Loren Jean, Emma Alisha Louissaint. Vitor Jacques.
