Duvet Guerrier was born on July 16th, 1951, the third of seven children born to Bercilia Innocent Guerrier and St. Pierre Guerrier in Cul-de-Sac, Haiti, right outside the capital of Port-au-Prince. A man devoted to the Lord’s work and a fierce family man, Duvet always made it his mission to protect and help others in need.
This intense desire to provide for his loved ones ultimately paved the way for him to come to the United States in the early 1980s. He made an undeniable impact wherever he went, creating lifelong friendships that stand the test of time.
On May 4th, 2026, Duvet was called into the everlasting embrace of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Though he is gone physically, his memory and spirit will live on forever.
Duvet Guerrier is survived by an incredible legacy: his adored wife of 49 years, Idona Lespinasse-Guerrier, his two adult children Maudeline Guerrier-Gaspard and Himsley Guerrier, his beloved nieces Karrine and Pernelle Guerrier and Lynda Guerrier, his esteemed nephew Dimmy Marcelus, and his cherished grandchildren: Mathieu Gaspard, Nathaniel Gaspard, and Gaelle Ruby Gaspard. He is survived as well by his siblings: Jean-Claude Guerrier, Pierre M. Guerrier, Anoux Guerrier, Clotilde Marcelus, Ricot Guerrier, and William Guerrier.
