Kathleen Beaubrun-Luma, age 49, of Sienna Texas, passed away on June 2, 2025, at Calvary Hospital in Brooklyn New York. Born on March 5, 1976, at Kings County Hospital, Brooklyn, Kathleen was the daughter of Deacon Berthal and Paulette Beaubrun. She grew up in Brooklyn, graduated from Holy Cross Elementary School in 1989 and Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School in 1993. Kathleen earned her Nurse Practitioner degree and her DNP Doctor of Nursing Practice at Chamberlin University. Kathleen known as Katu was the Director of NY FAMILY PRACTICE PHYSICIANS, P.C., and former Manager of Health Efficient. She was specialized in family medicine, geriatrics, and pediatrics. She was a fellow of American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She educated nursing students, mentored EMTs, Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse, and Nurse Practitioner students. As a compassionate and caring individual, Kathleen served on the board of Haitian American Alliance of New York (HAA). Periodically, she travels with group of nurses and physicians providing care to women, men, and children in Port au- prince Haiti. In her spare time, she volunteered at Gaskov Clerge Foundation (GCF) as a triage nurse. Kathleen was a God-fearing woman and strongly believed in her Roman Catholic faith. Dr. Kathleen Beaubrun-Luma is remembered by family, friend’scolleagues, and patients as Sassy, Live of the Party, Go Getter, Motivator, Strong, commitment to education, Funny, regarded as a source of nurture and support for all her nieces and nephewsand had no filter when she expresses her needs and concerns. Kathleen will tell you like it is and hold nothing back. Kathleen is preceded in death by her loving mother Paulette Beaubrun, Sister Bernice Beaubrun, Talitha Beaubrun. She survived by her father Deacon Berthal Beaubrun, husband Frantz Luma, Stepson Chalmers Luma, Devoted Sisters, Irma Nemorin, Magalita Nemorin, Pepita Beauval, Lunn Beaubrun, her brothers Berthal Junior Beaubrun and Benson Beaubrun; and wide circle of cousins, sister In-Law Roseline Beaubrun, Brother in -laws George Nemorin, Lucien Nemorin, Pierre Beauval, Nieces, Nephews, Friends, Colleagues and Godchildren Joshua, Tiffany, Jonathan, Yosef, Zander, Nayeli, who will continue to carry her legacy forward.
